Cambridge Who's Who notes Ramon E. Garcia for 40 years of dedication in the jewelry trade
HYATTSVILLE, MD, June 6, 2009 /Jewelry PR News/ -- Ramon E. Garcia, Owner of Silver Spring Jewelry, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of fine jewelry sales.
Mr. Garcia, a native of Cuba, launched his career in 1967 as a waiter in the banquet department of the Washington Hilton Hotel. He soon began selling jewelry to co-workers and making important contacts with local businesses until he was able to establish Silver Spring Jewelry, the only complete jewelry manufacturer in the D.C. area, three years later, in 1970.
Now, with nearly 40 years of experience in the jewelry trade, Mr. Garcia is considered an expert designer by his peers. His clients often order custom-designed 14 and 18-karat jewelry and they are always completely satisfied with the results. In fact, Silver Spring Jewelry has been so successful that Mr. Garcia opened a second loaction in Hyattsville, MD. He attributes his success to his customer services skills.
Mr. Garcia earned his high school diploma and completed coursework in accounting and business management. He is a member of the Small Business Association of America, his local chamber of commerce and jewelry associations in D.C. Maryland and Virginia. He is Deacon of the First Spanish Baptist Church and a chaplin for the Prince Georges County Department of Corrections,
